The question that we get over and over is, "Can I use the Acoustikat for Jazz guitar?" The answer is a resounding YES!!!

When we were designing the Acoustikat we wanted to make sure that it is versatile enough to be used as an acoustic amplifier and still give the deep warm tones needed to play jazz.

The new Acoustikat now replaces the Jazzkat 8" that has been the standard for a small footprint jazz amplifier.

The Acoustikat is a full featured amplifier that allows the player to use any acoustic guitar on the market and then switch to their archtop and still have the cleanest, warmest, richest sound on the market.

One of the most important features is our Tweeter Control Switch. Now you can adjust the amount of tweeter you want in your sound with just the flip of a switch. With the switch up you get full tweeter sound, moving the switch down and the tweeter is reduced just enough to roll off some of the highs and if you do not want the tweeter at all, simply move the switch to the center.

Turn the Acoustikat on and you have 150 Watts (RMS) on tap to fill the requirements of almost any gig. Full features, plenty of power and only 17lbs!

We took the amp to one of the greatest jazz guitarist of our time, Bucky Pizzarelli, and asked him to test is using his 7 string guitar.

What was his response? Thumbs up!! He loved the deep lows, and felt the frequency response was true and the sound was warm and full.

Bucky now has his own Acoustikat that he has used on numerous gigs and has reported back to us that he loves it.
